    Body found near Sam's Club in Tikahtnu Commons in East Anchorage
    A construction worker found a decomposed body in the woods near Sam's Club in East Anchorage's Tikahtnu Commons mall on Thursday. Police received the worker's call after 5 p.m. and officers and medics responded, according to Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Castro. The body could not immediately be identified. The medical examiner took custody of the body. Police are awaiting results of the autopsy, Castro said. Nothing looked immediately suspicious in the area, Castro said.
